Surico Checkmate
Supreme Champion 2019
Surico Checkmate stood out as a junior and his superior fleece traits surpassed his senior paddock mates to take out the top prize of the year. Both his dam, Surico Ballerina and sire, Surico Onedin having won this award in the past. His full brother Surico Bolero also won in 2016. Packed full of super genetics, we have high hopes for this young male.
Surico Pascale
Supreme Champion 2018
Surico Pascale follows in the footsteps of her sire Surico Tangier winning this coveted award.
Her dam Surico Rosse has also won many awards in previous National shows.
The superior uniformity of micron expressed in her lovely handle is her outstanding characteristic.
Pascale has been purchased by a prominent German breeder and will leave in 2021.
Surico Chaos
Supreme Champion 2017
Surico Chaos impressed by winning Supreme Suri at his first breed show ever entered. He is the pinnacle of our breeding programme at Surico, with his outstanding fleece qualities. His fleece traits of density, fineness, uniformity of micron and style within the lock and across his body are amazing.
He is a male truely worthy of this prestigous award.
Surico Bolero
Supreme Champion 2016
Bolero is the combination of winning genetics. Both his dame and sire have won the Supreme Suri title at National Shows. His dam, Surico Ballerina was awarded Supreme Suri at the 2007 National Show and his sire, Surico Onedin at the 2010 National Show.
Bolero now resides at Darksky Alpacas in UK where he will further his legacy.
Surico Burton
Supreme Champion 2015
Surico Burton has super density, super micron uniformity along with the other fleece traits we desire. Each year we have a favoured cria for quality suri traits and Burton and Venus [very closely related] were the pick of 2013
Burton now resides in Victoria, Australia with Errydge Suri.
Surico DemoiselleSupreme Champion 2013 Surico Demoiselle is a truely fantastic suri female, she has it all! Extreme density with a fine and uniform fleece. She has outstanding lustre across her whole body. This is a fleece of the future and we hope to breed many more like her. Shorn after this show she will now begin her breeding life and we are looking forward to seeing the cria she produces. |

Surico WalkinshawSupreme Champion 2012 Surico Walkinshaw was a standout from the day he was born. His lustre fineness and density are excellent, but it is his consistency of these traits everywhere across his fleece that placed him at the top of the line up at the 2012 AANZ National Show. |

Surico TangierSupreme Champion 2011 Surico Tangier emerged as the 2011 National Supreme Champion suri from an extremely tough line up of excellent quality suri. His outstanding density, fineness and lustre teamed with a regal presence and solid conformation won the award on the day. Surico alpaca are particularly proud of Tangier as he comes from a Surico bred Sire (Surico Valiant) and Surico bred dam (Surico Marbella). |

Surico OnedinSupreme Champion 2010 Surico Onedin was Supreme Champion 6 times before winning the prestigious National Title at the 2010 National Show. Onedin’s superior fleece traits made him an alpaca who not only took the show season by storm, but produced an incredible commercial fleece which is now being repeated in his offspring. He has impeccable breeding, his sire is the famous Parsifal who is inturn the sire and grandsire of numerous champions. His dam is Surico Jade, who has produced award winning progeny.

Surico MantavaniSupreme Champion Suri 2009 The 2009 National Supreme Suri was intermediate male, Surico Mantavani. Following his big win he was only in New Zealand long enough to be certified before Ann Marie Santesson Gerber of Osterlen Alpacas in Sweden selected him as the suri herdsire for their new suri herd. Surico Mantavani has produced exciting progeny in his new Swedish home, a legacy for the Swedish alpaca industry. Only a few weeks after arriving in Sweden won a broad ribbon at the Swedish National Show. |

Surico BallerinaSupreme Champion Suri 2007 Surico Ballerina was a Senior Female when she won the National Supreme title in 2007. Pregnant and still in her first fleece she stole the show with her fineness and lustre, traits that she still exhibits today. She has been retained in the Surico Herd as one of their elite females, proving her worth with progeny such as Surico Corsair and Surico Coppelia, both broad ribbon winners. |

Surico YuliaSupreme Champion Suri 2005 Surico Yulia won her first supreme title at the 2005 AANZ National Show as a 6 month old junior female, her first show. She went on to win another 4 supreme titles from 4 shows entered. In 2006 at the Inaugural AANZ National Auction Surico Yulia was put up for sale where she fetched a then record price of $36,000+gst. The successful bidders were Cedar House of NSW Australia. At the time of sale Surico Yulia was mated to Kaihere Accoyo Brilliante and subsequently produced a male cria Cedar House Pavaroti who became a show winner in his own right winning the supreme champion title at the Royal Easter Show in 2008. Her other cria have performed well in the show ring. Surico Yulia remains in New Zealand still owned by Cedar House Alpacas. |
